I am an international school leader based in Shanghai. My work focuses on the systems behind teaching and learning: academic pathways, assessment, scheduling, accreditation, data, and the policies that hold them together. I am particularly interested in how schools turn good ideas into structures that actually work.
School leadership is both about people and the structures in which they work. I am interested in how leaders balance instructional, organizational, and strategic responsibilities— and how those different forms of leadership fit together.
Learn moreAssessment generates an enormous amount of information, but collecting data is easier than using it well. My work ranges from external examinations and baseline assessment to reporting, transcripts, and the practical question of how schools turn results into better decisions.
Learn moreMost of my projects begin with an operational problem: a timetable that does not work, a reporting process that needs rebuilding, an accreditation requirement, or an academic program that has outgrown its original structure.
